The value of your content will never entirely go away, but much more importantly your trustworthiness will only increase over time. Anything else is trickery, and an attempt to cheat the system

SEO for Non-dicks - Matt Legend Gemmell

This is a really brilliant blog post on Search Engine Optimisation Optimization. I’ve never really wanted or really needed to care about gaming the system as DiS started 11 years ago, before people really knew what Google was. We’ve always been linked to from the BBC and various other sites, so it hasn’t ever seemed like anything we had to force.

Plus, if I wanted to get 10billion users a month, we probably wouldn’t be running a music reviews website. When I have looked at how pagerank works and all that stuff, it has just seemed like a sordid world and something that requires a huge investment of time and resource, two things which I’ve never had the luxury of having.

If anyone has any more good links or simple tips - especially given that development for our new site is underway - then I’m all ears.
